I just read your story in Notre Dame. NICE solution to your first draft issues. A lovely memoir piece. But my favorite stretch of writing?
... I watched Eleanor, trying to remember the cautious way she bent over, still not confident with gravity but more eager than afraid to show that bunny some love. I watched Eleanor, and I felt content. Because I knew I might forget this one. And that's okay.
Congrats on the publication! And I'm sorry I am out of touch. I run out of time for e-mail these days. That's what no. 3 will do to your life! :) I'll try to call or e-mail soon.
